Trust us, you’ll feel world’s away.
Hudson, NY
How do I get there? Metro- North
How long does it take? Two hours
Hudson’s official nickname is “Uptown’s Downtown.” We affectionately call it Upstate Brooklyn – and not just because of the influx of former Brooklyn-based artists that have moved there. The quaint town is full of charming B&B’s, historic buildings, farmer’s markets and farm-to-table restaurants serving up the best in local fare. Stroll through the cobblestone streets or pick up some amazing treasures in one of the many great antique shops.
Asbury Park, NJ
How do I get there? NJ Transit
How long does it take? An hour and a half
A different type of “Jersey Shore,” Asbury Park is Boardwalk Empire meets Brooklyn. This iconic seaside destination has all the things you want from your Shore experience: a 130-year old boardwalk, gorgeous Victorian era architecture, and olde-timely novelities like pinball and arcade games. But it’s not just a kitchy trip to the past. Asbury Park boasts great live music and foodie scenes. It also is a budding creative city in its own right. The Market and Market Stands at Asbury Park feature makers, artists, and designers – both local and from other cities – in an effort to cultivate a thriving creative community through their rad crafts and products.
